Is a consultation required before services?

I offer a free 15-minute consultation to anyone interested. While attending this consultation isn’t required, it is strongly recommended before scheduling an intake appointment.

Deciding to start therapy—and choosing who to do that with—is a big deal. The consultation is a place for us both to learn more and ensure a good fit. Not only do I want to make sure I’m equipped to support your current needs and concerns, but I also want you to feel comfortable and confident in your choice to work with me.

  • A consultation is NOT needed to enroll in Empowered Relief, the single-session coping class. In fact, I encourage you to sign up for the class without a consultation and then use the free consultation as an opportunity after class so we can debrief any questions and discuss next steps, as needed.

  • For pre-surgical psychological evaluations, it is preferred you submit the interest form prior to scheduling a free consultation.
